In the provincial House of Culture, there was an evening of classical music. The program featured a vocal-instrumental duo. The young coatroom attendant, performing his duties and not very interested in the event, notices a peculiar man named Pal Palych. Despite his affluent appearance, Pal Palych behaves like someone from another world – naively and bewilderedly. After the program concludes, everyone retrieves their belongings, except for Pal Palych. His expensive coat is left hanging on the hook.
