A Day With Polly

"A Day With Polly" is a small family story from the eye of an 8-years-old Polly. The film tells about a one-day trip outside the city by a Ukrainian family: parents Yura (38) and Vika (37) and their two daughters, Nastya (11) and Polly (8). Throughout a seemingly normal day, either implicit or explicit reminders of the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war interfere into fragile family space. The story reaches its climax when Polly finds something unusual in the forest. However, it seems like nobody except her treats the event seriously. Eventually, the film becomes a reflection on the nature of cruelty and evil which families and, particularly, children can hardly manage to escape.
