Broken dreams of Mariupol

Broken dreams of Mariupol" is a documentary film in which children from the Ukrainian city Mariupol share their stories and tell what they dreamed about before the occupation of their native city by Russian troops and what they dream about now. The film was directed by Taras Tkachenko, tutor of the directing course at the Ukrainian Film School ("Black Raven" and "The Nest of the Turtledove"). The DoP is Yevhenii Vasylchenko, the Ukrainian film school graduate and tutor ("Volunteer"). The film was created together with children from occupied Mariupol. The children spent two weeks in a movie holiday camp held by Ukrainian Film School. They got an opportunity to live without thoughts of war and to make a movie, and they allowed themselves to be children.
