I am not afraid

"I'm Not Afraid" tells the story of 17-year-old Polina, who, along with her mother, returns home from Chernivtsi in October, to their hometown in the Kyiv region. The scars of war are still visible everywhere - wrecked cars, bullet-riddled walls, shattered windows. Their apartment feels like a desert, as it was once inhabited by Russian soldiers. Together with her mother, they clean up the mess. Polina's father died in 2016 on the Donbas front, and her older brother is currently serving on the Zaporizhia front. The two of them try to rebuild their lives, but as mass shelling begins, Polina seeks salvation alongside her mother.
